SUBJECT: Fund the OGS Renovation Project

How the Can Keeps Getting Kicked......


We are highly disappointed in the First Selectman's decision to deny the Board of Education's request to fund the OGS Renovation next year and push off the funding for our renovation to the 2024/2025 budget cycle.

 The greater frustration is that the OGS Building Committee, comprised of dedicated volunteers, have already put countless hours towards this critical project.  Without funding in the upcoming year, the committee will be forced to halt their work for an entire year and start over in the fall of 2024 IF funding is ever approved.


The Board of Estimate and Taxation can add our project back into the plan but 

WE NEED YOUR HELP (again)......


1)  Email the Board of Estimate and Taxation this week at BET@greenwichct.org asking that they fund the OGS Renovation Project in the 2023/2024 Budget.  Feel free to share your perspective or keep it simple!!


2)  Attend this BOE's capital discussion with the BET this Thursday, February 9th at 1pm at Town Hall.


3)  Forward this email to your neighbors and friends throughout Greenwich.  Keeping our public schools well maintained is in all of our best interests!
