BEFORE- & AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS

At OGS, the PTA is proud to offer before- and after-school programs to support our students. For registration, cost details, and session dates, please click the individual program links below.

 

🐦 Early Birds: Morning Movement 

Grades: K – 5
Format: Session-based or drop-in
Time: Monday – Friday, 7:30 – 8:30 AM

Recent research shows that morning physical activity boosts focus, memory, and readiness to learn. This program gets students moving with fun, active routines to help them start the day energized and centered.

 

📘 Morning Enrichment 

Grades: 3 – 5
Format: Session-based only (no drop-ins)
Time: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 7:30 – 8:30 AM

A focused, small-group program that sharpens ELA and math skills before school. Perfect for students who enjoy academic challenges and a purposeful start to their day.

 

✏️ Homework Club

Grades: 1 – 5
Format: Session-based or drop-in
Time: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 3:20 – 4:20 PM

A supportive, fun space where students complete homework with help from our Math Intervention Specialist, Ms. Perez and Grade 5 teacher, Ms. Kocot. Bonus: this program includes an after-school snack!

 

🎨 Afters

Grades: K* – 5
Format: Session-based (no drop-ins)
Time: Monday – Friday, 3:20 – 4:20 PM

The OGS PTA partners with Your After School to provide a rotating lineup of fun clubs and activities — like sports, arts, and special interest groups — designed to enrich each student’s after-school experience.

*Fall Afters are not open to Kindergarten students, but are available to them starting with the winter session.

 

CURRICULUM ENRICHMENT

Curriculum Enrichment brings learning to life at OGS. Funded entirely by the PTA, these programs include in-school workshops, field trips, author visits, and assemblies that connect classroom lessons to the wider world. Learn more.
 

GREEN SCHOOLS

Green Schools at OGS is dedicated to caring for our earth and showing students how they can make a difference. Through meaningful, hands-on parent/student volunteer experiences like food rescue, kids learn to take part in creating a more sustainable future. Learn more.
