’Tis the season to spread magic and cheer — and our amazing OGS community always delivers!

We’ve lined up wonderful ways to give back this holiday season. Choose the ones that spark joy for your family — every act of kindness makes a difference.

Thank you, OGS, for helping make this season bright for so many.

First Annual OGS Giving Tree
Monday, December 1 – Friday, December 12

The OGS Outreach Committee is proud to partner with Domus to support local families in need. Each year, Domus hosts a joyful “holiday mall,” where parents can “shop” for gifts and fill stockings for their children, enjoy homemade treats, and collect pantry staples for the holidays. The event, run entirely by Domus staff and volunteers, serves more than 300 families — spreading warmth, dignity, and cheer.

How to Give:

“Giving Trees” will be on the plaza starting Monday, December 1st.

  1. Have your child pick a “snowflake” from the tree
  2. Purchase a gift for the child with your family
  3. Tape the snowflake to the gift and drop it off unwrapped in the marked “Giving Tree Toys” bins inside the front doors by Friday, December 12

Students can place unwrapped gifts in the bins as they enter school through Friday, December 12.

OGS Annual Toys for Tots Drive
Monday, December 1 – Thursday, December 18

As you do your holiday shopping, please consider purchasing an extra toy for our annual Toys for Tots Drive. Our 5th graders partner with the local Marine Corps Reserve and visit each OGS classroom to share the importance of giving back. Last year, OGS families donated over 500 toys to support Greenwich children in need!

How to Give:
Kicking off the week of December 1, 5th graders will collect new, unwrapped toys in each homeroom through December. Toy donations are needed for children of all ages, especially “tweens” ages 10–12. Popular items include sports balls, craft kits, board games, and stuffed animals.
